NBC-IPC Public Library is a free library in Nagpur, India. It is a joint community project by Nagpur Book Club and India Peace Centre. The library aims to encourage the love for reading books among citizens of Nagpur.
Free Public Library
NBC-IPC Public Library is open to the public, and is free for all citizens of Nagpur. It is the only free public library in the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra. Books have become expensive, and many young readers cannot afford to continuously buy new books to read. To address this problem, and to encourage young readers to read more books, Nagpur Book Club decided to start a free public library. The library is the brain child of Dr. Tejinder Singh Rawal, the founder of NBC.
Reading Room
There is a reading room at the library, where citizens can sit and read books. Citizens can also borrow books to take home to read, by registering at the library. The use of the reading room is free for all citizens. The reading room has a seating capacity of 10 people. It is air-cooled in the summers, and has a drinking water dispenser.
Books
The Library currently has a collection of over 2000 books of all genres, including Classics, Bestsellers, Novels, Motivation, Self-help, Fiction, Non-fiction, Romance, Thrillers, Kids Books, Autobiographies, etc. All books in our library have been donated by NBC members from their personal collections, and by India Peace Centre. We keep adding new titles to the library every month.
